Sarah, a young woman with a terminal illness, goes back to the town of Cullington where she grew up to relive the happiest days of her life in hopes of rekindling the magic she felt so strongly as a child. On the outskirts of town was place called Winterland, a Christmas festival unlike any other in the world. It was a place of wonder and amazement. Going to Winterland, one last time, was merely another thing on her bucket list. Never could she have imagined what suprises awaited her in her return home.

This is a heartfelt feel good story. Through the magic of Christmas two lonely hearts were brought together. The story was told through a third person. Have tissues ready as it brought me to tears several times.The story was told to us by Willy. I loved Willy with the Blue Ridge twang and could see this grizzled old man rocking on a porch telling the story of Nick and Sarah. However as great as Willy’s character was, he had absolutely no connection to the characters in the story. It would have been nice at the end of the story to find out how he was connected. I kind of have to agree with another reviewer without some kind of connection to the characters or how he came by this story this character is really not needed.
Winterland is a very nice magical Christmas story that just missed the mark at being a really great story because of editing issues. I would still recommend it and hope that the author will address the grammar/editing issues.

I loved the characters and the story. Did not think it needed the story teller. Some word errors. Great christmas story.
Winterland is a story of two children who met in an orphanage and became close friends. After the girl is adopted, the children are separated for many years and go their individual ways. Upon receiving a grim cancer diagnosis, the girl returns to find her friend, and their friendship picks up as if it never ended. Together, as adults, they return to a special, Christmas themed park where they went as children many years earlier and again make their requests of Santa.
This was a cute story, and you may enjoy it. Sadly, there were many editorial flaws, with misspellings, typos, and poor sentence constructions. At least it was free when I got to read it!
